Caroline Wheater

Caroline Wheater is a feature writer and editor whose work has been published in many national magazines and newspapers. She’s a longstanding freelance member of the H&A team and has written on everything from antique collections to grand period houses to the UK's top designer-makers. Her current focus is the endlessly fascinating world of auctions and antiques. Caroline is also a published author and among her books is Antique Furniture (Vivays Publishing). She lives and works from her Kent home, surrounded by apple orchards and beautiful old villages to explore. At weekends the garden always beckons; she also likes tramping through the countryside, visiting the Kent coast – Whitstable and Hastings, particularly the magnificent restored Hastings Pier, are favourite spots – and browsing antiques shops in places such as Brasted and Tenterden.
